The First Week of School

This has been a fabulous week in Room 100!  I have loved getting to know each of my new sweet friends.  We have been busy all week long!

On Tuesday the students learned about each other through our "Venn Friend" activity.

                                 

On Wednesday, the kids wrote about their summer vacations.

On Thursday the students came down with a Bad Case of the Stripes and we had to find cures for all of them!

           

On Friday, we went on a "Senses Field Trip" and explored what our senses could tell us about the world around us.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the year will bring.  I will post some more pictures of our first week tomorrow!?

Welcome to Mrs. McAbee's 2nd Grade Class

 

 

As we begin a new year, I would like to tell you a little about myself...

1.   I am married to my best friend Jason.  We have been married for 11 years.

2.  I am the mother to a spunky 5 year old named Grant.  He is the light of my life.  He loves sports.  This will be his first year in kindergarten. 

3.  I am a Christian that is actively involved in Lake Bowen Baptist Church.

4.  I love teaching.  This is my 14th year as a teacher.  From the time I was in 2nd grade, I knew teaching was the career for me.  I love children and I love learning!

5.  I am so excited about teaching each one of your students!!

I hope we have a wonderful year in 2nd grade!!!!
