Holly Jolly Week
Good afternoon! There are several notes and reminders I wanted to send out for the week ahead:
1. Timeline projects are due next Thursday. I have explained these to the students. If you need poster board, please let me know, and I’ll be glad to send some home with them.
2. Next Friday is a ½ day (11:00dismissal) as well as our Christmas party. Our party is 9:30-10:15, so feel free to join us if you’re able.
3. I have been having issues with Pokémon cards being out at inappropriate times with several students. If your child has these, please keep these at home. If they have them here to take to daycare, they can bring them but leave them in their backpack. I’ve told them if I see them again, they become mine until May. Thank you for your support with this.
4. We will not be having Spelling next week. We will move that list until after Christmas.
5. Please read the letter about our “holly jolly week.” This is a fun way for us to the get in the spirit of the holiday season, but is optional.
6. Have a great weekend, and if I don’t see you, a wonderful and blessed Christmas break with your family!

Hour of Code
No matter what career choice our children choose to follow, more than likely, they will need to be able to use computers effectively and efficiently. To help get our students ready for their future careers, school nationwide are participating in the Hour of Code. It gives students time to explore coding and builds their interest in computer programming. Below you will find pictures of our students participating in the Hour of Code today during computer lab.
The students were given a small card with the URL they used in class today. They can access this at home and continue to practice and learn.
