Today we visited the Wonder Room to explore the question: why does it rain? The students worked through the scientific process to explore what happens when a cloud gets heavy with droplets.
Throughout the afternoon today some of our students will be commenting on this post telling about their experience. Feel free to comment or to ask them questions about what they learned today!!
Samuel's Thoughts: Hey mama we made a new expament today.Today we took a clear cup with cold water.Then we took shaving cream and sprayed it on the water.Last we took food coloring and put it on the shaving cream and made it rain .It was fun!
Sarah's Thoughts: I thought it was really fun! First you have to get a clear cup and fill it up with water to the first line. Then you have to get shaving cream and put it on top of the water.Last you have to get red,blue,and green food coloring. After that you shut the food coloring and the shaving cream. Then you watch it rain!! You need a big and round cup of water and one can of shaving cream and one thing of food coloring. You need to put a little shaving cream on top but make sure the shaving cream all over the top of the cup. We went to the wonder room to do it.
Jacob' Thoughts: It was fun.It was cool.what I am tiping abont was when I made Rain how you make it you get cup of woter and get some shaving cream and food coloring and watch it.

What a neat activity! What happened when you put lots of drops of food coloring in the shaving cream?
