He gave them a tour of the newsroom, showing them what goes on the behind the scenes.
Then students were allowed to ask questions.
When we came back to the classroom we wrote in our journal about our experience. The students also created a list of wonders about weather that they now have after our time with him. This was an awesome experience!!!!
At lunch today, our first Boosterthon prizes were given out!!!
If you haven't registered please go to www.funrun.com to receive you wristband. Also remember to get as many pledges as possible!!!
The last part of our day was spent in the Wonder Room with a scientist from the Watershed Ecology Center at USC Upstate.
The kids learned about animal habitats and animal needs. They also were able to view some cool animal artifacts.
But this best part was seeing and holding a REAL salamander!!!
They then designed a habitat for a drawing of a salamander.
Be sure to talk with your child all about what we did today!!!
Sounds like you all had a very productive day of learning!
