are currently studying how cultural traditions are celebrated throughout the regions
of the United States of America.
Throughout
this Social Studies unit, our students are learning how family traditions and
customs are passed from generation to generation.
We
are asking students to reflect on traditions that have been established &
celebrated within their homes by creating a timeline that highlights 5 special
events from their 2015 year.
Project Description:
Students
are to create a timeline that highlights 5
important events from 2015.
Timeline
Events Must Include:

Child’s Birthday

2 Family Traditions
·
2 Important Personal/Family
Events
Each
Event Must Include:
·
The Date of the Event
·
A Photograph/Illustration of
Event
·
A One-Two Sentence Description of the
Tradition/Event
Construction:
The timeline should be well
organized with dates/events in proper order. All illustrations/writing should
be neatly written or drawn by student. Please see attached rubric for grading
details.
This project will receive a test grade in Social
Studies and Language Arts for the 2nd Nine Weeks.
Projects are Due Thursday, December 17th
